Purpose of the group is to provide support and social activities to African Americans in the long beach area. Most clubs have too many restrictions eg professional, skiers, hikers. Most clubs isolate African Americans. This is a club simply for people who want to have good, clean safe fun with their peers in the African American community. Most of us work during the weekend! This is a group for those of you whom love the outdoors and love to hike and camp but only have the weekends to do so. Well, although some day hikes will be posted most will consist of overnight to multi day trips ranging from the northern sierras to Joshua tree through all four seasons.
