Walking barefoot through nature is a fun and rewarding way to exercise your feet. When hiking barefoot the feel of cool dirt, smooth rocks, soft pine needles, and crisp leaves all add to the delight of the hike. You feel connected to the earth. In the absence of dry leaves you are silent. We are a group of barefoot hikers located in Eastern Mass who enjoy getting together for hikes of varying intensity. Whether you are a seasoned barefoot hiker, a beginner, or even if you've never hiked, come jo …
We are a group of friends with similar interests - the primary one being hiking. It doesn't matter if it's a one-day trip or a multi-day backpack; we like climbing up and down the tallest mountains throughout the Northeast (and beyond) and having other people along with us. Other activities on our calendar include biking (rail trail, road, & off-road), kayaking (rivers, lakes, & ocean), skiing (downhill & cross country), and various adventure races. Our approach is simple - the strength of a coh …
This is a hiking group for people who, like me, hike at a slow and steady pace. I love the outdoors and I love hiking, but am often lagging behind. However, like the tortoise, I keep a steady pace and always get there in the end. We will do mostly medium-length hikes ( 4 - 6 miles) with elevation gains of under 1500 feet and a pace of book time +50%. Most hikes will be within a couple of hours drive from Worcester (there is another MeetUp for slower hikers that does hikes in White Mountains) but …
This group is for hikers who enjoy easy or moderate trails, or who want to try more advanced hikes but at a slower pace than many of the other hiking groups. Our goal is to enjoy hiking at a slow and steady pace, for everyone to make it to the top and back down again without any pressure to go at a faster pace than your true comfort level. It is not a race, let's hit the trails and enjoy the journey!

Based in New Hampshire, this group is for people interested in going on camping trips locally on weekends or nationwide for longer trips. This group is for inexperienced AND experienced campers. Those of us who are inexperienced: we can learn from those members who are more experienced. We could learn how to pitch tents, make fires, cook dinner, share jokes and stories around the campfire, go off on day hikes (for the more energetic), and generally enjoy the outdoors. This could be so much fun, …
